Itinerary

Day 1:

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

This will be an easy drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara with the magnificent views of the hills and mountains, valleys and farmland, rivers and waterfall.

Driving for around 7 hours, you will reach the beautiful city of lake known as Pokhara, enjoying your free time visiting some of the historical places in Pokhara and the evening boating in the Fewa lake will add something extra.

Overnight in Pokhara

Day 2:

Drive from Pokhara to Jomsom

This will be a long drive (with a frequent stop for a break) of around 8-9 hours, you will be driving through the main road until we reach Beni, further turning to the other direction through the mountain and riverbank finally to the Tatopani (natural hot water spring).

From Tatopani, enjoy the majestic view of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri etc throughout the trail. Entering into the Annapurna region will be one of the best journeys of the entire tour.

In the late afternoon; you will reach Jomsom, the capital small city of Mustang. Jomsom is famous for apple; abundance of apple garden can be seen. It lies on the bank of the river Kali Gandaki and Mountain.

If time permits, explore the river bank, there is a domestic airport too, where every day in between 7 am till 11 am, there is a direct flight from Pokhara to Jomsom and vice versa.

Day 3:

Drive from Jomsom to Muktinath

An easy day for us into Muktinath, after breakfast, you will drive through the bank of the Kali Gandaki River and further crossing the river, enter into the valley of Kagbeni.

Visit Kagbeni and observe the ritual ceremony being performed. Kagbeni is an ancient village inhabited by Tibetan origin and also the centre village of trading into Tibet.

Further north of Kagbeni will lead you into the most forbidden kingdom of Mustang, where visitors requires special permits to get into.

Diverting through the deserted mountain you will reach Muktinath, the final destination for the earthly beings. Visit the holy temple, observe the ritual ceremonies or enjoy a bath into 108 water tap and back into our hotel.

If you are worried about altitude sickness, you can descend to Jomsom for overnight, it depends upon your physical condition.

Day 4:

Drive from Muktinath to Pokhara

Today driving through the same trail as you did while going to Muktinath, there is no alternative drivable road.

Passing by beautiful villages, rivers, waterfalls you will reach Pokhara late afternoon, evening will be free time for, you can explore around Pokhara and back to your hotel.

Day 5:

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

At around 9 am, your Jeep will be ready to pick you for 6-7 hour drive to Kathmandu. Here, you will have an alternate option; if want to avoid same way drive you can take a flight to Kathmandu which is a 30-minute flight.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu representative from Pack Ur Bags Nepal will escort you to your respective hotel.

After check in to your hotel, enjoy your free time in Thamel, the evening will be a cultural dinner provided by Pack Ur Bags Nepal.

What kind of Jeep will be used for this overland Tour?

We use 4X4 Toyota Land Cruser or 4X4 Mahindra Scorpio for our Upper mustang jeep tour. Regarding the drivers they are very experiece for off road driving. Until now they have 100% safety records.

What is the best season for this tour?

Mustang is rain shadow area where you can go from august to mid December and February to May.

What is the physical requirement for Mustang Jeep Tour?

Mustang jeep tour is designed for those travellers who are physically or timely unable to do trekking in Mustang. It is suitable for all kind of people child to seniors.

Can I charge my camera and mobile batteries on my Trip?
